On Thursday, 18 December 2025, joint security personnel of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) and the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) arrested two suspects at the Wanjama Police Checkpoint while they attempted to unlawfully evade security screening.
The suspects were identified as Ibrahim Sama of No. 36 Musa Street, Bo, who was riding a Victor motorcycle bearing registration number AXC 773, and Osman Koroma of Taiama Town.
Following their interception, security officers conducted a search, during which a large quantity of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis was discovered in their possession.
Both suspects were immediately taken into custody and are currently assisting the police with ongoing investigations. Further updates will be provided as inquiries progress.
