The Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission (TSC), Prof. A.M. Alghali, has deployed armed police officers to the TEC Secretariat in Freetown today, 16th December 2025.
This decision follows reports from the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education highlighting insubordination, insolent behavior, and unprofessional conduct by TSC staff toward the Hon. Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Dr. Ramatulai Wurie, and other senior ministry officials during an official engagement at the MTHE Conference Hall, New England.

The Ministry requested that all TSC staff submit a written explanation within two days. The deadline for submission was 27th November 2025; however, no staff member complied within the stipulated timeframe.
In view of the collective failure of TSC staff to respond, the TSC Chairman has taken an administrative decision to suspend all staff with half salaries, effective immediately.
